My dear Beckett,

Should

I am in receipt of your letter, 52745/1928, of

yesterday's date. I attach hereto a memorandum of the questions

and my answers to them which I think covers the ground.

you consider they are not full enough and further information is

required, please let me know and I will do my best to supply it.

Question 4 puzzles me a little and I may not therefore

have given the information required. The basis on which chop

dollars are paid out is 717 Canton taels weight equivalent of

1,000 dollars which would be less than 1,000 full weight dollars

by count, but I cannot remember at the moment what the exact

hrt. Nimik it is about 4f Wo. it less
